About Clean Up Australia
Clean Up Australia inspires and empowers communities to clean up, fix up and conserve our environment. More than 20 million Aussies have participated in Clean Up Australia activities over the past three decades. Over that time Clean Up Australia has evolved to provide practical solutions to help all Australians to live more sustainably every day of the year, and emerged as one of the country’s most recognised, credible and trusted environmental charities. Today their focus is as much on preventing rubbish entering our environment as it is removing what has already been accumulated.

Coles has been a proud partner of Clean Up Australia since 2018 with many team members holding local community Clean Up activities during the year, particularly in areas affected by recent floods and natural disasters – now it’s your turn.

GET INVOLVED!

  • Activity: Site clean ups. Engage your team on a fun, practical volunteering day. Enjoy the great outdoors and improve your local environment. The activity lasts for about 2 hours – with amounts of rubbish collected, kilometres walked, and other statistics recorded centrally. Once registered, teams will be sent 1 x Business Clean Up Kit to support the activity (please allow 2 weeks for your kit to arrive)
  • When: You can Clean Up any day of the year! Teams can choose a day that suits them.
  • Where: Teams can select their own Clean Up site.
  • How many: up to 10 participants in a team – multiple sites can be registered for larger teams. Teams can work near each other.
  • What’s in a Business Clean Up Kit: Clean Up materials for 10 participants containing 10 bags, 10 pairs of gloves, site supervisor safety vest, sharps container and paperwork/digital support materials.
  • Special events: Teams may also wish to participate in Clean Up Australia Day (first Sunday in March) or the Great Northern Clean Up (August to October – varies by local government area)
  • Cost: No charge for Coles teams
  • How to register: Complete the registration by clicking on the link below. Please make sure you include Coles & your location in the Organisation Details field, ie: Tooronga SSC. Please notify gabrielle.sheehan@coles.com.au of your registration.

Will you make a pledge to improve the environment?

Thousands of small steps make a big difference - together we can all be part of the solution. And remember, you don’t have to be perfect to be amazing!

Could you say no to straws? Take your empty bottles and cans to a Container Refund Scheme? To bringing your own waterbottle? To composting? To buying recycled, to opting out of fast fashion, rinsing your recyclables or only purchasing takeaway coffee when you have a reusable cup?
