“ISS is proud to partner again with Clean Up Australia in a program dedicated to tackling Australia’s waste challenges.”
“As one of the country’s largest facility services companies, we help businesses reduce their environmental footprint every day through our sustainable cleaning and waste management practices. This partnership aligns strongly with our CSR values that provide practical solutions to help us all live more sustainably, while also making a difference to the communities in which we operate.” Stuart Rose, CEO, ISS Facility Services.

Brita's Plogging Challenge
Brita organised a group plogging event as part of our Plog-a-thon Corporate Challenge. They teamed up in groups (according to fitness desire!) and all met at a central location. They then went off in different directions, running and walking at different paces while plogging (picking up rubbish while exercising). They came back together to share in their experiences and celebrate their good work.
We asked the organisers at Brita a few questions:
What did you enjoy about the day?
It was a great day to spend time with the team and usual day-to-day grind in order to stop and reflect how lucky we are to be in such a beautiful country while also doing our part for the environment.
What do you think your team got out of participating?
The team became more aware of the amount and types of rubbish that is improperly disposed of. We were very surprised with the amount of garbage we were able to collect considering the regular cleaning that is done in the area.

More great answers from BRITA:
How did you make the day a success?
The staff at BRITA are proudly advocates of sustainable practices for a cleaner, brighter environment for our community so it was an exercise we were passionate about. We treated the activity as a team building event with prizes for farthest distance plogged and most amount of rubbish collected, and most unique piece of rubbish collected.
Why did Brita get involved?
BRITA is committed to doing our part to be more sustainable and participating in activities to help protect the environment for a cleaner community for generations to come.
Will you do another event like this?
Absolutely! We at BRITA are proud to have aligned with such a terrific organisation like Clean Up Australia.
