Bird flu safety
Bird flu is on the rise in Australia, but the risk to human health remains low.
Here’s what to do if you come across a sick or dead bird during your Clean Up.
- Avoid contact with sick or dead birds.
- Record the date, time and location, and take a photo if it is safe to do so.
- Report multiple dead birds or other animals to the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888.
